Swedish black metal trio Lord Belial offers some proper classic 90s black metal on their tenth studio album “Unholy Trinity”. Released via Hammerheart Records on June 27th.
Gygath is yet another side project band formed by Sortilege and Swartadauþuz. The debut full-length album ‘Ablaze above the Forest’ stems from the 90s heritage of atmospheric and symphonic black metal. Out via Nightbround Records.
The symphonic and menacing black metal debut “The Cursed Oak”, by Alex Poole side project band, Kveldstimer invites you to wander through ancient woods under the moon, out via Bestial Rape Records!
The third epic chapter “Sancrosanct Demonopathy” by Finnish black act Warmoon Lord offers symphonic elements of 90s black metal and lives up to the standard of Lord Vrăjitor. Out via Werewolf Records since May 9th. The album is highly recommended for fans of Emperor and Obtained Enslavement. Catch their show at Steelfest this weekend for those who make it, you won’t regret it!
Greek titans Nightfall display remarkable musicianship on their eleventh studio album “Children of Eve”, out via Season of Mist since yesterday. The songs embrace and recapture the gothic facet of its music with dark atmosphere.
Finnish black metal duo Moonfall delves into the archaic and atmospheric style of early black and dungeon synth. Their full-length album “Odes to the Ritual Hills” was released via Iron Bonehead Productions last week Friday!
“Through Veils of Time” is the debut full-length album from the former Mactätus member Mjolne, and offers one of the best symphonic and atmospheric albums this year, comes highly recommended for fans of 90s black metal.
The U.S. black metal supergroup Scour presents a demonic presentation on their first full length album “Gold”. Mr. Philip Anselmo goes full-time brutal and demonic on the album, released via Nuclear Blast Records.
The Norwegian trio Nachash exerts in presenting its influences from the first wave of black metal on its newest album “Eschaton Magicks”. Out via Signal Rex since January 31st.
