A couple of friends of the site are bringing something quite new to Finland with Ankea Festival, to take place next summer in Tampere, giving a space for music that isn’t as much represented at festivals overall with a focus on alternative rock and progressive metal! Johanna Iivanainen’s & Johanna Kurkela’s Altamullan Road is certainly worth checking out. Fullsteam Agency gave us the opportunity to see their show at Tampere’s Pakkahuone on Valentine’s Day and if you have a chance to experience their blend of cinematic, folk, and pop music yourself I highly recommend doing so.
