The year wrapping up means that we’ll be looking back at the amazing things we’ve experienced, and “album of the year” lists. We’d also like to give some attention to our talented concert photographers who go out and cover shows for us. Close to the end of the year 2023 there was an event that has left headbangers around the world in ecstatic anticipation—the Fear Factory ‘DisrupTour 2023’. This monumental tour brings together a powerhouse line-up featuring the ferocious Butcher Babies, Ignea and Ghosts of Atlantis. As these bands join forces, they promise to deliver an unforgettable experience for metal enthusiasts, showcasing a diverse range of styles within the genre.
Nem Agency’s Melancholy Mass Festival made Finland’s dark winter nights just a bit better by bringing us Septicflesh, …And Oceans, Vorna, Assemble The Chariots and Voidfallen on the stage in Tampere and Helsinki.
A hot and sweaty night in the Halle room of the Backstage club in Munich. Fear Factory are back in a big way, and they were joined by Butcher Babies, Ignea and Ghosts of Atlantis, bringing quite the package with the “Disruptour” all over Europe!
Last Friday, Psychework hit the last stop of their ‘Spark Of Hope’ tour at Hönö Baari in Tampere, where they were presenting their new album of the same name. Support was provided by Scars of Solitude. Although this gig by MasterEvents wasn’t very packed, it was still quite the night of good Finnish music.
Every year the Lost in Music Festival brings around 100 Artists to Tampere, showcasing what the Nordic region has to offer of music. And we made it to one of the shows happening at Olympia-Kortteli, featuring rising stars Bloodred Hourglass, One Morning Left and Shereign. It was packed, it was hot and it was a big party!
Wind Rose is taking over Europe with their very first headlining tour “European Warfront 2023”, with support from the German heavy metallers of All For Metal and US metal outfit Seven Kingdoms, a recipe for a proper celebration of all that is classic heavy/power metal! We caught up with them at the Backstage venue in Munich and saw it was good!
Tuhdimmat Tahdit and Master Events brought one very hot festival to Tampere’s Ratinanniemi. It started with Verikalpa and ended with Beast in Black, but we also can’t forget about all the bands in between: Transworld Identity, Prestige, Ensiferum, Bloodred Hourglass, Dynazty, Lordi, Mors Subita, Dead by April and Diablo.
Tuhdimmat Tahdit and Master Events organized Battle Beast’s first ever show in Nokia, Finland. As support, they brought along Crimson Sun. An enjoyable evening for everyone.
US power metal legendary band Kamelot came, saw and conquered all of our hearts at Vanha Ylioppilastalo in Helsinki, with the help of Myrath, Eleine and League of Distortion back at the end of March!
