Day 1 of Brutal Assault 2025 set the tone right away with a good mix of legends and crushing heaviness. From the epic Viking soundscapes of Skálmöld to the industrial grooves of Static-X, the unrelenting brutality of Dying Fetus, the thrash assault of Kerry King, and the dark rituals of Rotting Christ, the Marshall and Sea Shepherd stages started off the festival properly.

Lithuanian thrash metal force Phrenetix were on tour in Europe and stopped at our very own venue Asgaard in Gentbrugge to throw a hell of a party with the help of Nuclear Warfare and Steamroller!
This year, all Thrash Metal fans in Europe received a special treat, an early Christmas present: KREATOR & ANTHRAX feat. TESTAMENT. All three bands were in a class of their own that evening – there was no support, only headliners. This evening will be remembered by all thrashers for a long time.
40 years – what an anniversary for the Brazilian metal icons SEPULTURA. At the same time, it’s a ’40 Years Farewell Tour – Celebrating Life Through Death’. With 15 albums to their name, puts on a great show, supported by JESUS PIECE, OBITUARY and JINJER. What a goodbye for a legendary band, MHP Arena in Ludwigsburg, Germany literally boiled over!
